THE WORLD'S LONGEST URL

When Hotels.com expanded their offerings beyond just hotels, we took the most obviously short URL (Hotels.com) and turned it into the worlds’s longest URL ever published.
We announced on social that the brand was changing to this new 2,083 character web address. And anyone who took the effort to type in the new URL was treated too a huge discount code.

Hotels.com was set to launch a six-spot TV campaign that showcased the many types of unconventional properties you could now book on its platform, from yurts to ski chalets. But since TV campaigns rarely get people talking, we created a unique an interactive way to showcase the new offerings.
In contrast to the one of the most obviously short URLs (Hotels.com), we created the worlds’s longest URL ever published and announced on social that the brand was changing to this new 2,083 character web address. Anyone who visited the new URL was treated with a significant discount code.
